Founder and Creator of SBC. All of the experts at SBC use the revolutionary method, which Sayuri Ushio, to cut short, and fine hair. This aspect of the SBC method yields a beautiful head of volume changing the framing of the face.Knowing that most stylists are not trained to specifically cut fine short hair for the specific result Sayuri Ushio created the SBC training program to teach stylists how to cut short and fine hairwith the utmost confidence. Sayuri Ushio's technique is now taught to stylists around the world. Passionate about empowering stylists to learn how to create a style for each client rather than just put a learned haircut on each client has inspired countless stylists around the world. The transformations Sayuri has effected have been tremendous, for adults and children alike. Sayuri has written a beautifully illustrated book for Japanese stylists with photos of her work and poignant thoughts to ponder that will now be published in the world.
KOTARO
Joined the TICK_TOCK staff in 2010 as an assistant. In 2012 he made his debut as a stylist. From assisting for two years in the salon, he had gained and attracted many clients during that time period. He even was featured in hair inspired magazines. 24 years old and the youngest STEP BONE CUT instructor, and at the age of 25 became the youngest manger within the company. Kotaro’s work style is a balance between creative shooting to webpage creation, marketing and multimedia. In 2016 Kotaro moved to NY to start expanding the STEP BONE CUT company through the US as an instructor. On top of teaching in the US, kotaro keeps busy with photography, holding event, gallery management, ect. STEP BONE CUT BAR became the first ever STEP BONE CUT salon in the United States. As the NY branch director it’s Kotaro’s job to send STEP BONE CUT to the world every day.
