WE DESIGN HAIR LIKE PEOPLE DESIGN CLOTHES.
A fashion designer will create clothing to accentuate or camouflage certain features of the body structure. For example, who all remember when shoulder pads? That design of clothing was used to create the illusion of more broad and wide shoulders.
So just as it is a fashion designers job to create clothing to fit someones body type, it is our job as hair designers to create a haircut that will fit the clients face type.
Whenever a pattern is is made for the design you want to create, you are more likely to get the results you are wanting.
Educate yourself on how to create designs. Study head shapes and bone structures. Once you have an understanding of these things you will be able to not just cut hair, but give your client a hair design specifically fit to their needs.
