JAPANESE HAIR DRESSER
Sayrui Ushio, founder of the patented hair technology STEP BONE CUT, is showcasing her concept that a haircut is a work of art.
Sayuri instillation will express the life of hair in comparison to the life of a plant. Mannequins with unique hair designs will show how life swells in our hair, just as it does for a plant.
Sayuri believes that hairstylists should sketch their ideas and hair designs prior to cutting the customers hair in order to give them a sense of what the style will be like. The STEP BONE CUT allows hairstylists to make hair styling an art form. Each customer is like a blank canvas, and the stylists are the artists. With her drawings painted on large window canvases and mannequins, this exhibition will give viewers a peek into her creative process . Last yearﾕs hair show at the STEP BONE CUT Association General Meeting in Japan was a huge success and this one is expected to be even better.
The reception party will be tribute to how the life of hair can be expressed artistically through its likeness to plants.

特許取得技術『STEP BONE CUT（小顔補正立体カット）』の発案創始者である SAYURI はヘアカットは単なるカットでなくサイエンスであり、芸術作品であるという概念を持つ。
髪を生命が宿る植物として表現するインスタレーションと、そのヘアスタイルを作品として展示。
「施術前に顧客が仕上がりのスタイルを知ることができるよう、それぞれの顧客のためデザインを描く必要がある」とSAYURIは語る。前回のエキシビジョンでは大きなガラスウインドウをキャンバスに、どのようなプロセスでヘアデザインを形にするのかをアーティーなアプローチで表現。STEP BONE CUTはアーティストがキャンバスに絵を描くように自由にヘアカットを楽しむ。これはまさに芸術である。２月５日には世界中から認定技術者が集まるSTEP BONE CUT 総会で彼女のヘアショーが開催され好評を博した。レセプションパーティーでは、髪は植物、そして生命を表現したヘアライブをも開催される。

髪には命がある。
そして、命あるものには心がある。
世に存在する全てのものに命がある。
またはあった。
よって、全てが 愛おしい。
私は今までずっと髪の表情を見てきた。喜び、悲しみ、怒り、、、。
髪に語り、髪の声を聴き、髪の心を感じ、髪の温度を自分に伝えた。
私の作品は、命ある髪の揺らぎである。
地球上の土から生えた森の木々が、風にざわめくように、
人体の頭から、植物のように生える髪が、風にざわめく姿にときめきを感じる。
それは、命があるからである。
切花が、その瞬間に、朽ち枯れてゆくように、
髪は切ると、その髪は大切な女性の命から、汚いものに変容する。
生体と、屍体である。
そう、植物と、髪は同じなのである。
また、人間という動物も同じである。
ずっと美容師をしていて、私は毎日いっぱい髪を食べた。
ヘアサロンでカットしていると、切れた髪が飛んで、口に入っていったのだ。
口から髪が永遠に出てくる夢をよく見た。
口から出てくる髪を、手でひっぱっり出しても、ひっぱり出しても、髪は喉から永遠につながってでてくる。
今となれば、私自身は、すでに髪でできているのかもしれない。
髪も人間も アミノ酸とミネラル、そして水分でできているので、それは決して不思議ではない。
しかし、それは単に夢だけで、決して食べた髪を口から出したことはない。
ということは、髪も植物と同じように食べれるものなのだ。
命を食べて、私たちは命をもらっている。
この身体は、全て命から作られている。
髪、爪、肌、内臓、眼、全てが、何からできているのか、、、
そして、髪のように切って死んだら、それはどうなるのか。。。
せめて髪が生きているうちは 生き生きと揺らぎ、髪が喜ぶように、デザインしたい。
Hair has life just like anything with life has a heart Everything existing in the world has life, past or present. Thus, I love all things very much.
I have seen the emotions of hair all along. Joy, sadness, anger....
Talking to the hair, listening to the voice of the hair, feeling the hair; I told myself the feelings of the hair.
My work is alternating the life of hair.
As the trees of the forest that grow from the earth, fluttering in the earths wind. From the head of the human body, the hair grows like a plant, feeling the wind blowing just the same.
This is because there is life.
As the cut flower withers at that moment
When you cut your hair, the hair is coming from the life of an important woman, transforming as it is removed from its life source.
It is a living body,and then a corpse.
Yes, the plant and the hair are the same.
Also, as animals and humans are the same
I have been a hairdresser forever
I ate a lot hair over the years.
When cutting with hair in a salon, the hair that had broken flew and entered the mouth.
Often in my dreams it looked as if hair would come out forever.
Even if you pull the hair coming out of your mouth by hand;
Even if you pull it out, your hair comes out of your throat forever.
It as if now, myself may already be made of hair.
Both hair and human beings are made of amino acids and minerals, and moisture, so it is no wonder that we are the same.
Since we are the same, that means hair can be eaten like plants.
Although, it is simply a dream, never has hair been eaten.
We have received a life by eating life.
This body is all made from life.
Hair, nails, skin, internal organs, eyes, everything is made out of what..
If it dies like after the hair is cut, what will it become like? . .
I want to design hair so that it will rejoice at least while my hair is alive.
